Gov. Nixon signs bill allowing limited alcohol consumption in Westport

Westport business owners hope you’ll be able to legally sip a tasty aperitif while taking a leisurely stroll through its outdoor art fair this September. Such an evening became much more likely Thursday after Gov. Jay Nixon signed a bill that, among other things, allows limited outdoor alcohol consumption in Westport and other Kansas City entertainment venues starting this fall.
